In the middle of `Kyunki` she was ousted in a few episodes because of date problems and also because she did not agree to portray a negative character along with a positive character which she was already portraying in the role of Nikki. She also could not identify with the change that was taking in the character of Damini in `Kyunki`. She could not digest the amount of negativity and it was too drastic for her. She herself wanted the character to be a bit subtler. But her character was so popular with the audience that Balaji had to bring her back in the show.
